7 Day Luxury
Tanzania Safari
Four of Tanzania's most iconic national parks. The Big Five. The great wildebeest migration. Expert Tanzanian guides who know every animal's name — from $2,100 per person.
Tanzania's finest seven-day
luxury safari experience
This is not a generic group tour. Our 7 day luxury Tanzania safari is a private, fully guided expedition through four of northern Tanzania's greatest national parks — designed from the ground up to deliver the finest wildlife experiences the continent has to offer, in complete comfort, with expert local knowledge at every step.
You will begin in Tarangire National Park — home to Tanzania's largest elephant herds and ancient baobab trees so massive they look painted by a god — before moving through Lake Manyara, where over 400 bird species crowd the shore and tree-climbing lions rest in the yellow fever trees. Then comes the Serengeti — two full days inside the greatest wildlife sanctuary on earth, where the annual wildebeest migration passes through like a living river of a million animals. Your journey ends in the Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest intact caldera, where lions, elephants, black rhino and flamingos share a single, extraordinary stage.
Every meal is prepared and served by your guide in the field — a full hot lunch laid out beneath an acacia tree, wine included. Every night you rest at a carefully selected lodge or camp. Every morning you wake up knowing that what you are about to see is utterly unrepeatable.
This is what a 7 day luxury Tanzania safari looks like when it is planned by Tanzanians who know the country intimately. Not a brochure version — the real thing.

Your complete 7-day itinerary
Kilimanjaro Airport → Arusha
Your 7 day luxury Tanzania safari begins the moment you step off the plane. Our team meets you at Kilimanjaro International Airport — assisting with visa formalities and luggage before introducing you to your personal driver-guide. Enjoy welcome refreshments and a comfortable transfer to your hotel in Arusha, Tanzania's safari capital.
Arusha sits at the foot of Mount Meru on the edge of the Great Rift Valley — a vibrant gateway city surrounded by some of the world's most extraordinary wilderness. Rest well tonight. Your 7 day luxury Tanzania safari begins in earnest tomorrow.
Tarangire National Park — The Elephant Kingdom
After breakfast, your guide drives you south to Tarangire National Park — one of the most underrated parks in Africa and our personal favourite opening day for any 7 day luxury Tanzania safari. The Tarangire River is the lifeblood of the park during the dry season, drawing herds of 300 or more elephants to its banks — the largest elephant concentration in Tanzania.
Ancient baobab trees, some over a thousand years old, tower over the plains. Lions drape themselves over rocky outcrops. Leopards inhabit the riverine forest. Over 550 bird species have been recorded here. Your guide will set a full hot lunch beneath a shading tree — wine, coffee or tea included — before continuing the afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at your lodge or tented camp.
Lake Manyara National Park — The Birdwatcher's Paradise
Drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day exploring one of Tanzania's most compact yet diverse ecosystems. The park stretches along the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment — a dramatic wall of rock and forest that frames every game drive with extraordinary depth.
Lake Manyara is world-famous for two things: its extraordinary birdlife — over 400 species including vast flocks of flamingos that turn the lake pink — and its tree-climbing lions, a behaviour found almost nowhere else on earth. Inland of the floodplain, dense acacia woodland hides impressively tusked elephants and families of baboons. Your guide prepares a full hot lunch in the field. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Serengeti National Park — Into the Endless Plains
Today is the day most guests describe as life-changing. An early breakfast, then your guide drives you into Serengeti National Park — the most celebrated wildlife sanctuary on earth and the centrepiece of your 7 day luxury Tanzania safari. The journey itself is a game drive: herds of impala, giraffe and zebra flank the road as the landscape opens to the legendary endless plains.
The Serengeti holds the greatest concentration of plains game in Africa. The wildebeest migration passes through year-round — at different points and in different spectacles depending on your travel season. Resident lion prides, leopards in the kopjes, cheetah scanning the open plains, and buffalo herds moving like slow dark rivers. A packed picnic lunch is served at a scenic site. Dinner and overnight at Lahia Tented Lodge — one of the finest camps inside the park.
Full Day Serengeti — The Migration & Big Cats
A full second day in the Serengeti — the greatest gift you can give yourself on a 7 day luxury Tanzania safari. This is the day for early morning drives when predators are most active, midday stops at water sources, and late afternoon light that turns the plains amber and gold.
Your guide positions the vehicle based on overnight tracking reports — following the wildebeest columns, locating lion kills, and finding leopard in the sausage trees. If you are here between July and October, the Mara River crossings may be within reach. If you are here between January and March, the calving grounds of the southern Serengeti come alive with newborn wildebeest and the predators that follow them. There is no bad Serengeti day — only different kinds of extraordinary.
Serengeti → Ngorongoro Crater Rim
After an early breakfast and a final morning game drive — one of the true highlights of any 7 day luxury Tanzania safari — your guide drives east toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The transition from the flat Serengeti plains to the highland forests of the Ngorongoro rim is dramatic — you ascend over 2,000 metres through montane forest to arrive at one of the world's most extraordinary viewpoints.
Below you lies the Ngorongoro Crater — a collapsed volcanic caldera 20 kilometres wide, holding over 25,000 animals in a self-contained ecosystem described by conservationists as "Africa's Eden." Your driver prepares a full hot lunch with wine. Dinner and overnight at a rim lodge — where the views from the dining room are unlike anything else in East Africa.
Ngorongoro Crater Descent — Africa's Eden
The final day of your 7 day luxury Tanzania safari is, for many guests, the day they remember most. You descend into the Ngorongoro Crater at sunrise — one of the most breathtaking moments in all of African travel. The floor of the crater is home to over 25,000 animals: vast herds of buffalo, zebra and wildebeest grazing alongside resident lion prides, leopards hunting the forest edge, and the rare black rhino moving through the morning mist.
The crater also holds Tanzania's highest density of flamingos around Lake Magadi — a pink shimmer across the crater floor. Hippos lounge in the pools. Hyena packs patrol the open grassland. It is, in every sense, the perfect final chapter. After a full morning game drive and a hot lunch in the crater, your guide drives you back to Arusha for your onward journey.
